DIVISION: Court Services-Springfield Office  
MINIMUM SALARY: $29,665 per year

HOURS OF WORK: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:  This position involves assisting program and field staff in preparation and the coordination of correspondence and logistics; providing administrative support with data collection; maintaining databases; preparing letters, memos and reports; creating graphs, tables and other presentation materials; performing other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: The Court Operations Assistant 1 must possess a minimum of one year office experience performing administrative responsibilities for an office unit/supervisor or education equivalent to an associate's degree in secretarial or computer science or a related field. Knowledge and skills required include skill in composition, communications, records management and report preparation and knowledge of specialized personal computer applications (i.e. Word, Excel and Access). Must have ability to work independently and to organize multiple tasks and assignments. Previous experience working in the Illinois court system preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Ability to sit for extended time periods. Some travel required. Professional office working environment requiring telephone usage and ability to process written documents.
