Illinois Judges Receive Recognition and Awards - May 24, 2022

Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

  • Fourth Judicial Circuit Judge Ericka Sanders was honored on April 25, 2022, by the Illinois Association of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) as the recipient of the Illinois CASA Judge of the Year Award at the Marion County Courthouse in Salem. Judge Sanders was chosen for “her commitment to a solution based, family centered approach” in her work as a Juvenile Judge in Marion County.
  • First District Appellate Court Justice Jesse Reyes served as the Morton College’s 97th Annual Commencement ceremonies speaker at ceremonies on Friday, May 20th and Saturday, May 21st. Justice Reyes called it “an honor and privilege to be part of this historic commencement and to speak to the Morton College graduating class of 2022”.
