Illinois Judges Receive Recognition and Awards - October 25, 2022

Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

  • Cook County Circuit Judge Mary Cay Marubio and Cook County Judge Grace Dickler, Presiding Judge of the Domestic Relations Division, were honored on September 23, 2022, by Chicago’s LGBTQ+ Bar Association (LAGBAC) at their 35th Anniversary Gala. Judge Marubio was the recipient of the Community Advocate Award and Presiding Judge Dickler was the recipient of the LGBTQ+ Ally Award. Chief Justice Mary Jane Theis served as keynote speaker for the event.
  • First District Appellate Justice Jesse Reyes will be honored on November 2, 2022, by the Arab American Bar Association at their 32nd Anniversary Instillation Dinner Ceremony for his dedication to advancing diversity within the Chicago legal community.
