The Justices of the Third District Appellate Court announce the departure of Clerk Matthew G. Butler. Mr. Butler has served as Clerk of the Third District Appellate Court for 2 ½ years and has worked for the Court and citizens of the Third District for more than 16 years. His final day will be Monday, December 5, 2022. Mr. Butler is moving on to a position within the Illinois Supreme Court.

Effective Tuesday, December 6, 2022, Barbara Trumbo is appointed interim Clerk until a new Clerk is appointed by the Justices of the Court. Interested applicants for the Clerk position should see the employment posting here.
