Illinois judges receive recognition and awards

Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

  • 20th Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Andrew J. Gleeson was honored on May 1, 2024, by the St. Clair County Bar Association as the recipient of the Hudlin Award, which is awarded to “an attorney who most reflects their commitment to service and charity to the people of St. Clair County,” at their annual Law Day Breakfast.
  • 18th Judicial Circuit Judge Monique O’Toole was honored on May 8, 2024, by the Arab American Bar Association of Illinois as the recipient of the 2023 Distinguished Judicial Service Award at a Judicial Reception at the Alhambra Palace in Chicago.
  • 19th Judicial Circuit Associate Judge Michael B. Betar was honored on May 8, 2024, by the Arab American Bar Association of Illinois as the recipient of the Lifetime Advocate Award at a Judicial Reception at the Alhambra Palace in Chicago. Judge Betar was a founding member of the AABAR.
