Illinois Judges Receive Recognition and Awards

Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

  • Second District Appellate Court Justice Joseph E. Birkett was honored on November 16, 2024, as an inductee into the Illinois Boxing Hall of Fame for his achievements in the sport of boxing in Illinois.
  • Fourth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Amanda Ade-Harlow was honored on December 13, 2024, by the Illinois Judges Association as the recipient of the Presidential Leadership Award at the IJA Mid-Year Meeting in Chicago. She received the award for her work in updating handbooks that assist all member judges in the judicial selection and retention process as well as providing two live video education meetings regarding the initial phase and interview phase for retention for all Cook County judges.
