Over 100 clerks, faculty, and staff attend New Circuit Clerk Orientation

3/25/2025

The recent New Circuit Clerk Orientation, held March 18-20 at Erin’s Pavilion in Springfield, provided new clerks with essential training and resources to support them in their roles. Sessions covered key topics such as human resources policies, best practices, the Recordkeeping Manual, and fines and fees management. Representatives from state agencies and AOIC divisions also introduced their roles and provided guidance.

A special addition this year was the participation of the 2020 elected clerks, who were unable to attend an in-person orientation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Their presence brought valuable experience and perspective to the event. Another highlight was the mentor breakfast, where seasoned clerks from across the state met with their assigned new clerks. Many mentor clerks stayed for the remainder of the training and served as faculty, offering further support and guidance. In total, over 100 clerks, faculty, and AO staff attended the event.
