Illinois judges are increasingly being recognized for their dedicated work in courtrooms throughout the state. Here are some of the recent honors received by Illinois judges:

• First District Appellate Court Justice Jesse G. Reyes was honored on August 1, 2019, as the recipient of the Distinguished Jurist Award by the LAGBAC Foundation at the Foundation's 15th Anniversary Lawyers for Diversity event.

• Third District Appellate Circuit Justice Vicki R. Wright was honored this spring as the recipient of the Louise Bittorf Sullivan Award for Most Inspirational Woman for 2019 by the Sauk Valley YWCA.
