  • E-filing Kiosk E-filing kiosks are located within the Circuit Clerk's Office on the first floor and in the basement if the courthouse. Circuit Clerk employees are available for in-person assistance. Those e-filing offsite can call for assistance.

  • Foreclosure Mediation Program The Foreclosure Mediation Program is run by Resolution Systems Institute. Mediations typically take place at the above Alternative Dispute Resolution Center. A brochure about this service is located here.

  • Lactation Rooms The Circuit Court of Lake County makes lactation rooms available to nursing mothers who must visit the courthouse.
  • Language Access There is Spanish/English bilingual staff in Circuit Clerk's Office, Law Library, Center for Self-Representation, and information desks; all SRL services are available in Spanish. Spanish court interpreters are onsite for courtroom matters, and other language interpreters can be made available upon request.

  • Mandatory Arbitration Program The Alternative Dispute Resolution Center is located near the courthouse at 415 Washington Street Suite 106 in Waukegan. Information about this program can be found here.

  • Self-Help Center The William D Block Memorial Library located on the first floor of the courthouse is typically available for legal research and self-help. Due to the pandemic, the computers are currently allocated for Zoom court access. There are three employees that staff this service. The Law Library also houses the Center for Self-Representation which is staffed by a Justice Corps fellow. Self-Represented Litigants can go there for assistance with forms, procedure, and resources. There is also a designated Self-Represented Litigant Coordinator on staff to promote access to justice by not only assisting individual SRLs but also coordinating programs for them and ensuring there are resources and signage available.
