Oath Administration for Candidates Other than Bar Examinees | State of Illinois Office of the Illinois Courts After a candidate has been certified to the Supreme Court of Illinois by the Illinois Board of Admission to the Bar, the Clerk’s office will send an email containing instructions regarding how to have the Illinois attorney oath administered and how to pay the required law license fee. Please note that pursuant to Rule 708(g), candidates who do not take the attorney oath within nine months from the date of the recommendation for certification will need to be re-certified prior to becoming licensed.
