A Halloween scare: Power outage at the courthouse | State of Illinois Office of the Illinois Courts

As part of an unscheduled Halloween scare, the Hancock County Courthouse lost power on October 31. However, the sheriff kept the courthouse open. So, Judge Rodney Clark, Judge Rachel Mast, and Circuit Clerk Keara Weber decided to show everyone “how we do things in Hancock” and held court on the first floor of the courthouse in the entry area.
